Acrylic render
Strong colour, flexible finish, sensible price.
Acrylic render gives you a through-coloured, crack-resistant finish at a lower cost than silicone. It's a smart choice for extensions, garden walls and budget-conscious projects.
Stock imageOverview
Acrylic is a polymer-based thin-coat render. It's flexible, impact-resistant and holds deep colours well, so it suits bold greys and anthracites as much as classic whites.
It isn't quite as water-repellent as silicone, so on exposed, shaded or north-facing walls we'll usually recommend upgrading. We'll always tell you honestly which suits your house.
Holds colour well
Ideal for deeper greys, creams and feature colours.
Impact-resistant
Copes well with the knocks of busy gardens and driveways.
Flexible
Resists the hairline cracking seen on rigid renders.
Great value
Most of the benefits of silicone for less outlay.

Questions
About acrylic render.
Acrylic or silicone?
If the wall is exposed, shaded or prone to green staining, go silicone. For sheltered walls, extensions and boundary walls, acrylic is excellent value.
Can I change the colour later?
Yes, acrylic can be painted with a suitable masonry coating, though most people never need to.
