Render removal
Take it back to sound brick, carefully.
Blown, cracked or hollow render traps water against your walls. We strip it back carefully, protect everything around it, and leave a clean, sound surface ready for a new finish.
Stock imageOverview
When old render fails it often looks fine from the road, but tap it and it sounds hollow. Behind it, water is getting in and sitting against the brick. Over-rendering a bad wall just hides the problem.
We remove failed render and pebbledash by hand and with the right tools, taking care with the brickwork underneath, then make good, treat the wall and get it ready for its new finish. Waste is bagged and taken away.

Questions
About render removal.
Do I need to remove all of it?
Not always. If most of the render is sound we'll cut out and repair the failed areas. If more than about a third is hollow, a full strip is usually better value long term.
Is it messy?
It's dusty work, but we sheet everything, damp down and clean up daily. Most neighbours barely notice we've been.
